MOS. A modern take on “Garalde”, renaissance roman type
Inspired by the work of Francesco Griffo and Claude Garamond, MOS has humanistic proportions, weighted forms and a calm presence. With reduced contrast and a generous x-height, it is suitable for paragraph text, while a number of sharper decisions open up its character in display sizes.
Graduated from Bolditalic course.
Mos has only one master (regular, 300), Latin (52 glyphs) and Cyrillic (68 glyphs) set, numbers, and some other basic non-alphabet signs. I spent about 200 hours on it. The font has raw sidebearings and no kerning.
